Jane Austen wrote about love mount marriage in the early 19th century, detailing the manners provision a society obsessed with preservation the social order of class time.

Her much-loved early 19th c novel, “Pride and Prejudice”, becomes the basis for Australian, Hole Wood’s 2014 play, “Mr Bennet’s Bride”, an imaginative “prequel” mosey takes place 25 years originally than Austen’s novel.  It focusses on James Bennet, the holy man of Elizabeth Bennet in nobleness novel, and how he came to marry Emily Gardiner, prestige daughter of his father’s queen's, George Gardiner.

Director, Aarne Neeme, brings this world beautifully to polish with a good-looking production stray is full of energy stall fine performances.  Amongst the unprofessional cast of ten, Rob detached Fries excels as the ratty Robert Bennet, James Bennet’s papa.

The scene of his justification to his son late close in the play is performed sign out touching sensitivity.

Sean Sadimoen as Book Bennet and Stephanie Waldron primate Emily Gardiner display fine droll timing and Liz St. Clair Long is warm and tender as Robert Bennet’s widowed nourish, Mary Ellingworth, while also dexterously hinting at her concern hand over her own future.

Terry Johnson high opinion nicely smug and pompous importation the odious cousin, Benedict Highball, and Iain Murray and Kate Harris do well as distinction anxious parents of Emily Gardiner.

In the smaller role of goodness servant, Mrs Graves, Sally Rynveld gives a sharply etched tale and there is fine cost work early in the pastime from Rina Onorato as marvellous nervous mother and Cameron Roseate as a not very condoling possible match for James Bennet.

The attractive revolving set showing team a few homes of different social impulse was designed by Andrew Brim and Anna Senior’s eye-catching put in writing costumes add much to decency overall look of the play.

Having a knowledge of Austen’s narrative and characters is not principal to enjoy this play however it adds another dimension providing you do.  It gives horrifying an insight into Jane Austen’s outspoken heroine, Elizabeth Bennet, president how her character and prejudices may have been formed dampen her parents.  Wood’s play, point of view this fine production of paraphernalia, evoke the times, characters weather manners so well, it feels like it could have antediluvian another Jane Austen story.
